Lynn, MA- The Washington Adventist University men's basketball team fell to UMFK Sunday afternoon by a final score of 96-77.
In the first half, the Shock started the contest leading 11-4. At the 10:27 mark the Shock held the largest lead of the contest leading by ten points. The Bengals fought back evening the score 36-36 with four minutes left to play in the half. At halftime the score was tied 44-44.
In the second half, the Bengals shot 64% from the floor while the Shock shot 31% (13-42). The Shock shot 31% (31-81) for the contest while the Bengals shot 56% (41-73).
The Shock were led by Brian Bridgeforth who finished the contest with 21 points and 14 rebounds. Elliott Meredith eclipsed his 1000th career point while finishing the contest with 17 points. Tyrus Fleetwood added 14 points.
The Shock will return to action Monday when they face Fisher College at 7 pm.
