Lynn, MA- The Washington Adventist University women's basketball team defeated Fisher College Monday night by a final score 75-59.
In the first quarter, both teams battled back and forth as the score was tied 14-14 at the end of the quarter. In the second quarter, with 3:00 left to play in the half the score was still tied 24-24. The Shock used a 10-2 run just before halftime to take the lead 34-26. The Shock never trailed again in route to the 75-59 win.
The Shock scored 24 points off of turnovers and out rebounded the Falcons 51-33. The Shock were led by Olivia Turner who finished the contest with 21 points and 6 rebounds. Emily Piazza added 17 points, 5 assists, and 4 steals. Celia Gallego-Barea chipped in with 14 points and 4 rebounds.
The Shock will return to action Sunday when they travel to face Bluefield State College at 4 pm. The contest will be available online.
