Lynn, MA - The Washington Adventist University men's basketball team defeated Fisher College Monday night by a final score of 78-75.
In the first half, the Shock used a 9-0 run to open the contest. With 7:44 left in the first half the Shock held the largest lead of the contest 25-10. The Falcons battled back just before halftime cutting the Shock lead 41-31.
In the second half, the Falcons outscored the Shock 44-37. With :24 seconds left in the contest the Shock led 76-73. Charles Vines knocked down two critical free throws to secure he Shock victory. The Shock were out rebounded 43-34 but held the advantage in free throw attempts 27-11 and shot 46% (26-56) from the floor for the contest.
The Shock were led by Charles Vines who finished the contest with 19 points and 7 assists. Brian Bridgeforth posted another double double with 18 points and 10 rebounds. Elliott Meredith posted 12 points and 9 rebounds. Eric Lindsey finished with 12 points. Tyrus Fleetwood chipped in with 11 points and 5 assists.
The Shock improve to 18-5 on the season and will have some time off before their next contest Feb. 2 at The Apprentice School.
