Takoma Park, MD- Core Four lead the Shock past Apprentice with a final score of 99-75 on senior night.
It was a big moment for the core four seniors for the Shock in the Pitt as they handled Apprentice school from the opening tip. Eric Lindsey (SR/Churchton, MD) sparked the offense from the first play with a 3-pointer from the corner, and sustained the Shock scoring throughout the game. The Shock never trailed and led from almost every aspect of the game. The Shock won in rebounds 53-49, with Brian Bridgeforth (SR/Washington, DC) grabbing 14; the Shock led in assists as well18-11, with Charles Vines (SO/Upper Marlboro, MD) dishing out 5.
Zach Johnson and Jalen Warren gave a valient offensive effort for the Builders, finishing with 19 and 20 points respectively, but the starting five for the Shock dominated the scoring, all reaching double figures. Eric Lindsey had the hot hand, finishing with 32 points, shooting 50% from behind the arc (7-14) and 78% from the free throw line (7-9). Bridgeforth had 17 points, shooting 75% from the field (6-8) and had 5 blocks. Tyrus Fleetwood (SR/Hagerstown, MD) added 13 pionts, shooting 60% from the field (3-5), and 75% from the free throw line (6-8). Elliott Meredith (SR/Bedford, OH) chipped in 11 points, shooting 71% from the field (5-7), and Charles Vines fell just short of a double double with 11 points, 9 rebounds, and 5 assists.
The Shock will participate in their final regular season contest on Tuesday against Alderson Broaddus University on the road at 7pm.
