Phoenixville, VA- The Washington Adventist University women's soccer team defeated University of Valley Forge Wednesday afternoon by a final score of 4-1.
In the first half, the contest kicked off with the Shock capitalizing from a UVF own goal which gave the Shock a early 1-0 lead.UVF then scored a goal of their own to even the score 1-1. In the 39th minute Jhenifer Portillo notched the Shock's first goal to give them the 2-1 lead just before halftime. In the second half Cristina Reyes scored an unassisted goal to extend the Shock lead 3-1. Reyes then connected with Sasha Wilson who put away a goal to give the Shock the 4-1 victory.
The Shock improve to 3-6 on the season and will return to action Saturday night when they host Lincoln University at 8 pm.
