D’Shanee Blake, a sophomore setter on the women’s volleyball team at Washington Adventist University, was born on the Island of St. Thomas, and has only been in the states for two years. She is a pre-physical therapy major, and her hobbies include, reading, and playing volleyball which has been in family for her whole life. This is her 10^th year playing, but 2^nd season at WAU, and when asked about her experience She said “my experience here has been good so far. I would say my first year on the team was more of a trial and error. This year we have adapted more to each other’s skills and techniques on the court which makes us a better and stronger team to build the program.”
