WAU Athletics Celebrates Student-Athletes at the 2023 Shock Star Awards.

TAKOMA PARK, MD – The Washington Adventist University Athletic Department gathered Thursday night to host the 2023 Shock Star Awards. The annual event showcases the best of WAU Athletics over the athletic year. "We had a great night celebrating all of our student-athletes," said WAU Athletic Director Jered Lyons. "They work extremely hard during the school year. Balancing school, athletics, work-study, and social life can be very challenging. However, all of our teams excelled in the classroom, not just in their perspective playing fields. We look forward to continuing this end-of-the-year tradition."
