TAKOMA PARK, MD - Washington Adventist University men's soccer freshman George Tidmarsh has been named the first 2023 CAC Men's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week, announced by the Continental Athletic Conference today. 

Tidmarsh, the Offensive Player of the Week, found the back of the net on all four of his shots on goal in the team's 7-0 victory at Bluefield University last Wednesday. The forward assisted in another goal in the match.

"We played to our strengths and had an outstanding individual performance from freshman forward George Tidmarsh, who scored four goals out of 4 shots on target and had an assist, helping us dominate in the attack," said head coach Daniel Carroll. "He has definitely set the tone for the season he is going to have."

The Birmingham, England, native also played a pivotal role as the Shock earned a 3-2 victory the next day against NCAA Division II Emory & Henry College. He attempted five shots, with two of them being on goal.
