WAU Women’s Soccer Falls to Fisher College 2-0

Boston, MA – The Washington Adventist University (WAU) women's soccer team suffered a 2-0 defeat on the road against Continental Athletic Conference (CAC) rival Fisher College on September 29, 2024, in Boston, MA. Despite a strong defensive effort, the Shock were unable to overcome Fisher's relentless attack.

Fisher College opened the scoring midway through the first half, finding the back of the net in the 10th minute to take a 1-0 lead. WAU's defense held strong for the remainder of the half, preventing further damage and keeping the game within reach.

In the second half, the Shock pushed forward in search of an equalizer, but Fisher's defense stood firm. Fisher doubled their lead in the 50th minute with a well-placed shot, securing the 2-0 victory.

WAU goalkeeper Elena Lopez made five key saves to keep the match close, but the Shock were unable to generate enough offensive opportunities to mount a comeback.

The loss drops WAU's record to 0-3, 0-1, as they look to regroup and prepare for their next match against Trinity Washington on Wednesday, October 9.
