Alexis Lynn Capers, originally from Blue Bell, Pennsylvania, discovered her love for the game of volleyball at the tender age of 12. She immediately excelled as a middle blocker with natural talent, demonstrating her skills on the highly competitive team, East Coast Power Volleyball, in King of Prussia, Pennsylvania. Because good wasn't good enough, Capers spent hours honing her craft throughout high school, allowing her to be a division one recruit at Lafayette College in Easton, Pennsylvania. In her freshman year, she started in 87 out of 94 sets and was a key blocker on the team. 

 

Capers attended both Lafayette College and Spelman College in Atlanta, Georgia. Her passion for coaching derives from her love for the sport. Capers has been coaching for five years ranging from high school to club volleyball, coaching at Rio Volleyball Club, Upward Stars Volleyball Club, The Baldwin School, Keystone Juniors Volleyball Club, and Highline Volleyball Club. 

 

Capers has a true passion for the game that she is excited to convey in her inaugural season at Washington Adventist University.
